Cambridge University has released 2 videos to help potential and aspiring students who are thinking of applying to their University. The video is aimed to erase out pre conceived perceptions about the interviews.

According to the Telegraph report, Interviews for the majority of courses both at the University of Oxford and Cambridge take place from early to mid-December, following an early UCAS application deadline on October 15.

‘Perfect performance’ unnecessary in Cambridge interview

Videos designed to debunk myths surrounding the famously difficult Cambridge University interview process have been published today online.

Be yourself, listen to the question and smile, is the advice being given to Cambridge applicants this year by university academics.

Highlighting the importance of the traditional interview in the application process, videos giving prospective students a chance to see what these interviews could entail, were released today for the first time.

Published on the university’s YouTube channel, the videos are designed to give students a taste of what will be expected of them during the “famously tough” interview process.

Questions asked in the videos are said to be typical of standard Cambridge interviews and are designed to be testing for candidates.

Interviews for the majority of courses both at the University of Oxford and Cambridge take place from early to mid-December, following an early UCAS application deadline on October 15.

Earlier in the month it was revealed that a record 28,000 straight A students face being rejected by Oxford and Cambridge this year, as many Russell Group universities reported seeing an escalating demand for places.
