Reapers Choir Interview

Hi Reaper’s choir, how are you doing?
Please can you tell us what Reaper’s Choir is all about?

Hi Ten2Teens, thank you for having us! The Reapers Choir (TRC) is a church gospel choir from Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK. We love to sing, glorify God and inspire people.

How and when did you all form this choir?

As the choir is a church choir, it has been around for a long time – since the 1980s in fact! But although one or two of us have been in it from the beginning, most of the choir members joined far more recently in the last few years. Some of us weren’t born when the choir started!!!

Where do you draw your inspiration from and how do you as a group deal with pressures of life?

We draw our inspiration from God, our families, friends and people / groups we see in the public eye doing positive things. We deal with the pressures of life by putting our trust in God and asking Him to see us through. He’s never let us down! We also look to each other for help and to lean on as we all have very close friends within the choir.

Titles of your songs include Got to move on, Nobody knows, Special Friend, Stand Still and Psalms 150, all very inspirational and motivating. What do you hope your listeners will get out of your music?

Thank you so much! We really hope and pray that our listeners will come to know that God is real through our music. He’s not just a work of fiction, He really can make the difference in your life! Whether times are hard or easy, it is good to know God. We also want people to love one another, be positive and believe in themselves. Be a good friend, brother, sister; make someone smile today! The more positive you are, the better life will be.

Some great news we hear is that you will be singing at the recent Gospel Summit taking place at the Drum in Birmingham UK. How did receiving that confirmation make you all feel?

We’re really excited and grateful to God and the organisers of the Gospel Summit for giving us this amazing opportunity. We don’t claim to be the best at what we do but we always want to glorify God and we believe a great way of doing this will be to learn more about the industry as we strive for excellence.

As a group of young girls pursuing your dreams and making the best use of your talents, what advice do you have pre-teens and teens seeking to pursue similar dreams?

How much time do we have? Just kidding! We want to encourage everybody to follow your dreams but work very hard at them too! Be positive, don’t let negative people or things pull you down. With God on your side, there is NOTHING you cannot do.
